Sasha Fominskaya is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer. Originally from the Far East of Russia, she worked as a senior designer for LAVA Design Studio in Beijing from 2014 until Fall of 2021. Sasha specializes in graphic design, branding, publication design, and illustration.

She also runs a small magazine called Open Sesame. It’s a (more-or-less) annual publication dedicated to the weird and wonderful world of Taobao, China’s biggest online shopping platform. Find out more on Open Sesame’s Instagram.

Sasha speaks fluent English and Russian, and can order a latte in Mandarin.

She is currently making a lot of responsive W’s at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
